Sixth Marijuana Bag Found Believed Linked to Pot Plane
By Brad Kellar
GREENVILLE – More than two months after Hunt County authorities found bags of marijuana which had allegedly been dropped from a plane, a sixth bag has been found.
Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks says the sixth bag was found Monday morning.
Darin Fayne, of California, is currently free on $150,000 bond, charged with one count each of possession of marijuana and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a public servant.
Five bags had been recovered, believed connected to a plane allegedly piloted by Fayne and abandoned in July at the Caddo Mills Municipal Airport.
The 25 pound bag, found by man working a pasture near the intersection of FM 118 and 512, brings the total recovered so far to about 220 pounds.
