COMMERCE - Summer school students are the first to enjoy the new playground equipment at Commerce Elementary School.
The new equipment was installed by maintenance crews with the school district as part of a cost cutting move.
According to CES Principal Jeanne Lay, the equipment company matched funds to provide the $40,000 worth of developmentally appropriate equipment.
The move is similar to when costs were kept in-house during renovation of the old A.C. Williams ElementarySchool in 2010, which is now the current Administration Building.
