Slideshow: Annual Delta County Fair

Despite the unseasonably cool temperatures and windy April Saturday in Cooper, Texas, many folks attended the 2018 Annual Delta County Fair. The day began with the Bobby Wigley Memorial Jr Livestock Show which boasted many youth successes and winnings.

The Chamber hosted 27 vendors for this year’s Fair with a record number of 39 sponsorships in support of the event. Those included: Enloe State Bank, Young Chevrolet, PPF Gin and Warehouse, Lone Star Ag Credit, Farmers Electric Coop, InTouch by CumbyTel, BFT Ranch, Hwy 24 Lumber & Feed, JT’s Automotive, Funky Fresh Rags, WSI- Wes Scott, Interstate Body Shop, Interstate Mechanic Shop, La Pietra Wood Fire Pizza, Advantage Copy Systems, Delta Supermarket, Charleston Sky, Farm Country Inc., Delta County Youth Football, RY Construction-Rocky Young, Cotton Land Finds, Paris Healthcare Center, SLP, Cooper ISD, Macy Inmon DDS, Delta County Farm Bureau, First National Bank, Tejano’s Tex-Mex Restaurant, Centric Health Car, Lamar Electric Cooperative, Angels Homecare, Century 21-Brenda Stewart, Cooper Review, Outdoor Power Products, Tender Care Inc., Cooper Candles & More, Texas Tease Hair by Courtney, Morris Electronics, Lakeview Subway, Modern Woodmen-Diane Stegall.

The day continued with raffles by the Lions Club and Young Chevrolet. Over the lunch time Murray’s BBQ sandwiches were served by the Delta County Chamber of Commerce along with entertainment by the Monty Tipps Band.

The day ended with the sounds of engines revving as the Lone Star Garden Tractor Pullers Association put on their annual contest with garden tractors in various divisions competing. For more on events hosted by the Chamber of Commerce visit DeltaCounty.org.
