Slideshow: Delta County Chamber's Lighted Parade

The rain stopped just in time for this year's Delta County Chamber of Commerce's annual lighted Christmas parade held Saturday, Dec. 3 evening in Cooper.

Winning the Grand Marshal's award was the Santa and elves float created by the Erwin and Turner families receiving $200, President's Award of $100 went to Cooper Community Health Center for Kay Martin's reindeer car entry, Mayor's award of $100 was given to the Lions Club with the mascot driven by Mrs. Claus in her Red sleigh, Most Lighted award went to the Island of Misfit Toys by Cooper Outlet for $50 and Best Family award went to Matt Falls family which included a trio of Santa's helpers on an ATV for $50.

Serving as the 2016 Grand Marshal was Judy Falls. She is a Cooper High School teacher, who also serves on many organizations in the community. She rode in a new Jeep Wrangler provided by Sulphur Springs Dodge.
