Slow speed chase spans two counties in region

KXAS-TV

ROWLETT - A Dallas area man remained in custody upon last check following Tuesday afternoon's slow speed chase that began in Hunt County and ended about 40 miles later.

Timothy Barber, of Roweltt, led law enforcement along westbound Interstate 30 through Rockwall until he was spun out and crashed into a wall on the Highway 66 Bridge over Lake Ray Hubbard.

There were no injuries during the pursuit.

KXAS-TV reports that the 23-year-old Barber initial fled a traffic stop but that he gave no reason for refusing to stop. He’s been charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana.
