Greenville – A group of area residents got a glimpse Tuesday night of what the future may hold for an area west of Greenville.
One of the first ideas that consultants with Freese and Nichols feel should be implemented is the creation of an overlay zoning district along both the Interstate 30 corridor and the Monty Stratton Parkway.
The Greenville Planning and Zoning Commission meets June 23 to discuss a first reading of an ordinance pertaining to the Small Area Plan, while the city council will conduct a second and final reading of the ordinance on July 23.
The proposed site covers almost 27,000 acres.
