Combine – The eroding Bois D' Arc Island Levee in Kaufman County is threatening a city there.
The Levee is holding back part of the Trinity River and city leaders in Combine say it could run over the levee wit the next heavy rainfall.
There are 2,000 residents in the city and at an emergency meeting last night; those closest to the levee were told to put together an evacuation plan. Plans to fix the levee are on hold until la new board of directors can be seated to run the operation.
