A one vehicle accident on State Highway 24 near Jernigan’s Creek led to the arrest of the 26-year old driver Dorsey Self for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.

The white truck struck the cement barricade around 6:45 a.m. Monday morning between Klondike and the Delta County line according to Delta County Constable Ben Snow, who was one of the first on the scene. The truck had both lanes of traffic obstructed but fortunately no other vehicles were involved. Department of Public Safety and local volunteer fire fighters worked the scene.

Self was taken to the Delta County Jail and later that afternoon bonded out for $1,000.
