Still no arrests in murder case spanning one year

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A new reward is being offered in connection to the murder of a Royse City woman who was found one year ago this week.

The body of Heather LeAnn Pope was found in August 2010, nearly two weeks after her disappearance, along the shores of Lake Tawakoni. Autopsy results indicated Pope had sustained blunt force trauma to the head.

No arrests or suspects have been named in the case.

Hunt County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or a suspect or suspects in the case. Your tip can be made anonymously at 903-457-2929.
