Commerce – Commerce Police are pleased to report full compliance from city establishments in their latest attempt to crack down on illegal activity.
"Operation No Puff" was the title of the department's latest sting operation, designed to catch an establishment that might sell tobacco to a minor.
A similar operation was carried out in July, 2009 with four violators. But in this case on May 13, no such luck.
According to a release, all 19 tobacco-selling establishments inside Commerce city limits passed with flying colors, indicating their committed to obeying the law and at keeping tobacco products out of the hands of children.
