A severe weather system is expected to reach Northeast Texas late this weekend, bringing the potential for strong storms and heavy rainfall.
According to the National Weather Service in Ft. Worth, The worst of the severe weather is expected to be across parts of Oklahoma and Kansas. In North Texas, severe storms will be possible very late Saturday night into Sunday. The highest rain chances for North Texas will be during the day Sunday. High winds could also be an issue, and a Wind Advisory is in effect Saturday from 9am to 7pm. Expect sustained winds exceeding 25 MPH, and some winds gusts as high as 40 MPH on Saturday.
