– Light-to-moderate damage is being reported across portions of North a Northeast Texas after severe thunderstorms brought large hail, damaging winds and scattered tornadoes. No injuries have been reported.
Numerous funnel clouds were spotted, some touching down briefly throughout the region, and nearly every county in the listening area was under a tornado warning at some point last night. Winds were at times in excess of 70 mph and baseball-sized hail was spotted in several locations.
This resident in the Gober Community in Fannin County tells KETR, "We had some real bad lightning, and there's lightning everywhere I look. It's really, really bad."
The retail electric power supplier Oncor was reporting about 40,000 customers without power early this morning, mainly in the Metroplex. About 4,000 of those customers are in East Texas.
