Commerce – In two weeks, Texas A&M University-Commerce students will have the opportunity to vote on a proposed athletic fee.
The fee would provide about $1.8 million for the athletic department and reallocate a significant amount of money for student services such as Residence Life, Breakout Entertainment, Student Government, and other programs.
If approved, students will be charged a fee of $10 per credit hour up to 12 credit hours each semester. The fee would go into affect Fall 2009. Generated funds would be used as a means to improve athletic programs at A&M-Commerce.
All students can vote online at www.tamu-commerce.edu from 12:01 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, until 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14.
