Greenville – A Hopkins County man has been arraigned on one count of felony theft. Brian Ashley Whitfield has three prior felony convictions on his record all from Fannin County a decade ago.
Whitfield, of Sulphur Springs, entered the not guilty plea Monday. A tentative trial date has been scheduled for September 13.
Whitfield is alleged to have stolen over $3,000 in currency last April.
Previous convictions include two for impersonating a public servant and one for aggravated kidnapping.
