Synergy concert postponed

By Bill Oliver

TAMU-Commerce – The Synergy brass ensemble was supposed to perform at Texas A and M University-Commerce Thursday night, but the group couldn't get out of town.

That's after the Boston-wide disruption when authorities discovered what they thought was a series of bombs turned out to be a marketing stunt by a cable T-V show produced by Turner Broadcasting. The Synergy concert was rescheduled for this coming Monday evening at 7:30 in the music building at A and M-Commerce. The program is part of a new recital and convocation series established by the university's music department.

Still scheduled to take place is Friday's visit by Benedikt Bydern, a German composer and composer of Hollywood film scores. Bydern will present a lecture Friday afternoon at 1:30.
