Sports Anchor or Anchor Team (3 entries per station allowed): _ Time limit is 10 minutes. Must feature compiled reports from an individual anchor or anchor team. Entry should include examples of ability to ad-lib around breaking sports events, as well as to handle regular sports reports, features, etc. This is a compilation of work that does not have to be submitted from work performed on a contest day.
Broadcasts begin at 6pm with The Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program and info about upcoming games in Northeast Texas! Right off the bat, The Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program is on the air, running down upcoming games and talking the latest in High School Football with Terry Bennett and Grant Goodwin from Sideline to Sideline prior to kickoff. Likely the most involved high-school pre-game program around!
Kickoff is at 7:30, with play-by-play and color commentary of the Commerce Tigers, interspersed with live updated scores from games around the region.
After the game, pick up the phone and call 800-882-KETR, as The Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program rolls along, taking calls from players, cheerleaders, coaches, parents, band members and fans!
