Lone Oak – The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has filed their response to comments in August regarding a proposed sewage dump near Lone Oak. There's a catch, however- the public may never know what that response is.
More than 100 people showed to a public meeting in August to voice opposition to a proposed sewage dump near Lone Oak. Hunt County commissioner's also made official their objections to the dump. During the meeting, the public was allowed to ask the TCEQ questions to be answered at a later date.
The answers are in, but are not presently open to the public. Should the permit to build the dump be denied, the answers will never be made public.
