A possible murder in northern Lamar County has led authorities to arrest two teenagers suspected of the crime, according to eparisextra.com.
A 66-year-old woman was found dead, apparently killed by a gunshot, on on the afternoon of Dec. 18, the report said. The woman was found in the 3000 block of FM 2648, a little more than 10 miles northeast of Paris, the report said. The woman’s car and some possessions, including a phone and credit cards were missing, Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass said.
Later that evening, authorities in Oklahoma arrested two teenagers suspected of the apparent murder, according to eparisextra.com. Cell phone data led officers to a Motel 6 in Sapulpa, Okla., where a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were arrested, the report said. Officials said that surveillance video from retail businesses in Macalester, Okla., showed the two teenagers making purchases with the dead woman’s credit card, the report said.
