Terrell – The family of a 26-year-old Army soldier from Terrell says he has been killed in Afghanistan.
A pastor tells the Terrell Tribune that relatives of Spc. Joseph Michael Lewis were notified Tuesday. His family says his survivors include his wife and infant daughter.
This is the second soldier with ties to Terrell that's been killed in the war in the past month.
Army Staff Sgt. Shawn Henry McNabb recently died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. McNabb, of Poetry, was a 2003 graduate of Terrell High School.
