Testimony today for Greenville bank robbery suspect

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – Weather permitting trial will continue Tuesday for a bank robbery suspect in Greenville. Testimony begins today for Jose Martin Guevara, of Rockwall, who's charged with aggravated robbery in connection to the armed hold-up of a Greenville bank last January. Jury selection was held Monday, after Guevara rejected a plea offer last week. Guevara was reported to have tied up a female employee of the American National Bank while threatening her with an ice pick, screwdriver or another form of sharp object during the robbery. He was arrested later that day outside a Rockwall residence. The money taken during the robbery was recovered.
