The Texas A&M University-Commerce team had high spirits Saturday morning as they prepared to take on Grand Valley State in the second round of playoffs. As the players exited the team bus and walked toward Lubbers Stadium there was a slight overcast in the sky and energy in the air. During warm ups the players did their normal routines, pumping up teammates and dancing to music blasting on the stadium speakers. The 39 degree weather didn’t seem to faze the Lions as they treated the visiting stadium as their own. It felt like a playoff game but the excitement in Allendale was palpable. The aroma of tailgating and the cheers of the Laker faithful filled the chilly air as they prepare for a home game against the Lions.
