Commerce – The list of possible candidates for the President's post at Texas A and M University-Commerce is now at ten. David Crenshaw, the chairman of the search committee, has notified the campus community that invitations are going out to eight potential candidates and two potential alternates.

Doctor Crenshaw said early next month the committee will spend two days off campus conducting interviews. From there, the committee will recommend two or three names to A and M System Chancellor Doctor Mike McKinney. Crenshaw expects a new President will be named by mid to late April. Among the finalists are sitting Presidents, Executive Vice Presidents, and Provosts.

Gene Stallings, a member of the A and M System Board of Regents, is also a member on the presidential search committee. Earlier this week on KETR's broadcast of the Lions Coaches Show; Stallings commented on the departure of Dr. Keith McFarland.
