Texas Song Fest brings eclectic blend

COMMERCE - A one day event dedicated to the creative passion of songwriting converged on downtown Commerce Saturday.

The Texas Song Fest was the first of its kind in the city, under the direction of Commerce resident of Brad Davis, a Grammy Award winner.

Davis and his Iron Giant band were among the many performers, which also included Nashville’s Tony Ramey, local songwriters Randy Wallace and Clyde the Singing Dog, Darrell Bledsoe, Lou Ann Petty, Jerry Petter and more.

KETR’s Matt Meinke, host of Notably Texan, served as the master of ceremonies for the daylong event.
