Greenville – There will be no new hotel on an existing hotel site in Greenville. The Greenville Planning and Zoning Commission Monday denied approval of a plat, which would have created the city's newest hotel, by allowing two hotels to be located on the site where one currently stands. The final plat for the Greenville Inn Addition would have been a replat of where the Knight's Inn is located along Interstate 30 West. The Council denied the plat citing a number of concerns about access, utilities, and easements.
