A third Caddo Mills resident has pleaded guilty to charges of engaging in organized crime and forgery in connection with passing counterfeit currency at two Commerce fast food restaurants.
During a Tuesday hearing in the 354th district court, Chelsea Raeleen Shepherd entered the pleas to one count each of engaging in organized criminal activity and three counts of forgery.
Under a plea bargain arrangement Shepherd was placed under 6 years of probation with 150 hours of community service and a $1000 fine.
Jeffrey Edward Mowrer Jr. entered guilty pleas to the charges last month and was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
Caleb Allen Marsh pleaded guilty to the same charges October 1st and was placed on 6 years of probation with a $2,000 fine.
The Hunt County Grand Jury returned the indictments July 27th. The indictments alleged the three passed counterfeit 50 dollar bills at the Commerce McDonald’s and Taco Bell restaurants on February 12th.
