By Scott Harvey

Commerce – Four people have been arrested in connection to a New Year's shooting in Commerce that injured three people.

The shots fired are believed the result of a Greenville man being stabbed inside The Lodge early New Year's Day. Police say another Greenville man was shot in the leg, while a Commerce woman was shot in the foot while in the parking lot.

Hunt County deputies would later arrest four suspects following a traffic stop in Neylandville where they discovered three handguns in the vehicle. No names have been released, but three of the four individuals are said to be from Greenville, while the other is from Houston. All were charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon and warrants were being issued for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

At last report, the two male victims had been released from the hospital while the woman is listed in good condition at Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville.
