Bonham – The Commerce Tigers opened up their season with an impressive win over Bonham Friday, 26-14. Commerce showed balance in all phases of the game in the victory over last season's District 9-3A champs, led by Junior Quarterback Bobby Draughn. Draughn rushed for two touchdowns and threw for one in the 4th straight victory over Bonham for the Tigers.

Royse City down Kaufman 35-3
Quinlan-Ford edges Mineola 21-19
And Wills Point falls to Athens 37-14
The A&M-Commerce Lions also open their season with a 17-14 road victory over Fort Hays State.
