Tipitina's Hosts Open Houses, Tonight, Tuesday And Wednesday Evenings

Rick Parent, manager of the new Tipitina's Creative Co-op in Commerce, says open houses will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Oct. 23-25).  Tipitina'swill be located in the old A.L. Day Elementary School building, at 905 College Street, but in the beginning the arts center will operate in an adjacent auxiliary building.  Parent says Tipitina's has received a certificate of occupancy for the building from the city.  Tipitina's is a non-profit corporation based in New Orleans.  The local facility will host artistic activities of all kinds.
