Tourists find a lot to love about Slovakia

Following the end of Communist rule, the "Velvet Divorce" of 1989 split Czechoslovakia into two separate countries: Slovakia and The Czech Republic. Mary Clark made a last minute decision to visit the city of Bratislava during a European tour.

Listen to Mary's account of she and her family's visit to the former Czechoslovakia, and, hear about an interesting connection between Bratislava, Slovakia and Paris, Texas.

Slovakia's capital, Bratislava, relies on tourism and warmly welcomes all sightseers. This was great for visitor Mary Clark, who was able to witness historical sites such as St. Martin's Cathedral, and ride alongside the Danube River.
