Traffic relief project in Hunt County hits another snag

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A traffic relief project in Hunt County has hit another snag. Bids have finally been opened on the long-awaited project to rebuild the Highway 34/Wesley Street overpass across Interstate 30. But the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) still doesn't know when the work will begin, because the bids came in far higher than the $32 million which had been budgeted. The lowest bidder is reported to be more than $6 million over the city's estimate.
