Traffic stop leads to cocaine bust, arrests

Greenville – Two Houston-area men are in custody for drug possession following a traffic stop in Greenville.

The vehicle was stopped at around 8:30 a.m. Monday for speeding on Interstate 30 at the 93 mile marker.

According to a statement, several criminal indicators were observed and consent to search the vehicle was requested and granted. The search revealed an aftermarket compartment in the floor of the vehicle which contained approximately two kilograms of suspected cocaine.

Both individuals were charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 over 400 grams and unlawful use of a criminal Instrument.
