Greenville, Rockwall – A bank robbery trial is set to begin Monday. Jose Martin Guevara, of Rockwall, has been charged with aggravated robbery in connection to the armed hold-up of a Greenville bank last January. Court records indicate Guevara rejected a plea offer Thursday, thus jury selection for his trial is scheduled to begin Monday. Guevara was reported to have tied up a female employee of the American National Bank while threatening her with an ice pick, screwdriver or another form of sharp object during the robbery. He was arrested later that day outside a Rockwall residence. The money taken during the robbery was recovered.
