Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. as the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department will be offering free Christmas ornament decorating and refreshments, as well as horse-drawn carriage rides.
The tree-lighting ceremony begins at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Steve Reed will present his holiday welcome before throwing the switch to light the 30 foot bosom fir. The event is also expected to include Christmas carolers and a visit from Santa Claus.
