Trial in A&M-C student's murder postponed

By Scott Harvey

Daingerfield – The trial of Lester Jackson, who's alleged to have killed a Texas A&M University-Commerce student in April, has been postponed.

A Morris County judge has delayed the start of the trial after Jackson's lawyer was recently involved in a motorcycle accident, and deemed not physically able to defend him at this time. Jury selection was to begin Tuesday. No new trial date was immediately set.

The 23-year-old Jackson reportedly shot and killed 20-year-old Christopher Rashad Moore outside Katdaddy's Club near Daingerfield on April 12. Jackson is also charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
