Trial underway in murder of East Texas woman

Denton – Trial is underway in Denton County in the murder case of a Mt. Vernon woman.

The 21-year-old suspect is alleged to have killed 18-year-old Rebecca Rae Kemp during a botched robbery attempt in Dallas. Three other people were injured during the hold-up.

A second man, Maurice Antione Hall, of Allen, was also accused of capital murder in the shooting.
