Wolfe City – A capital murder trial for a local Wolfe City man has been delayed. The judge in the case ruled a conflict existed concerning the defense attorney for Ricky Allen Barnett, charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of his estranged wife in June of last year. Authorities claim Barnett has admitted to killing Cynthia Ann Barnett, 32, a mother of five children, inside her Cooper home. The trial had been scheduled to start Oct. 2, but will be postponed for at least a month.
