One of two accidents along Interstate 30 Tuesday causes serious injury to a motorist. One person was extricated from a passenger vehicle and transported by helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas after being clipped by an 18-wheeler around the 99-mile marker. The accident also resulted in the spillage of approximately 250 gallons of diesel fuel. Both eastbound lanes on the highway were closed for about three hours, with vehicles diverted to the service road, backing traffic up for miles.
