TV show set to film in area

By Kevin Jefferies

Honey Grove – The TV show One Tree Hill will be filming in Honey Grove next week. The CW Network teen drama will use around 150 local people as extras in the shoot.

Producers of the show invited students from across the nation to submit 30 second videos telling how much they loved their town. Of the more than 100,000 entries, 8 students from Honey Grove won the contest, and the town will be featured in an episode. The students will also have featured roles in the episode, which will be based on the night of a high school prom.

Filming will take place February 6th through the 9th, with two days in Honey Grove and another two in and around Paris. The episode is set to be shown in late February on the CW Network.
