Two arrested in outstanding warrant and narcotics bust

Commerce – Officers with Commerce Police Department and Delta County Sheriff's Department have recently arrested two individuals for outstanding warrants and narcotics trafficking.

The individuals, identified as Justin Ross Bacy, 26, and Christian Simone Relford, 20, were taken into custody on Thursday. Officers reportedly went to an apartment in the 1700 section of Oak Meadows Townhomes in Commerce.

Bacy, who had an outstanding misdemeanor and felony warrants out of Delta County, was located in the apartment. While officers were on scene, Relford, the female tenant, returned home.

Officers conducted a search of the apartment and located a large amount of powder cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription narcotics, a 40 caliber handgun, with 2 loaded magazines and digital scales. The marijuana and cocaine were packaged for sale.

Due to two children being found inside the residence with access to illegal drugs, Child Protective Services was called to begin an investigation. Once the female subject was booked in to the Commerce PD holding facility, she became irate due to Child Protective Services involvement in this case and reportedly attacked a police detective.

Bacy was arrested on Delta County Warrants and transported to Delta County Jail for arraignment. He currently has the following warrants for his arrest from Commerce PD and will be transported back when his Delta County chargers are taken care of:

- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group One, more than 4 grams but less
than 200
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group Three, less than 28 grams.
- Possession of Marijuana over 2 ounces, but less than 4 ounces
- Abandoning/Endangering a Child

Relford was arrested and charged with the following offenses:

- Assault on a Public Servant, $20,000 bond
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group One, more than 4 grams but less
than 200, $20,000 bond
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group Three, less than 28 grams.$2,000
bond
- Possession of Marijuana over 2 ounces, but less than 4 ounces, $2,000
- Abandoning/Endangering a Child, $65,000
This case is still under investigation.
