Two busted in Paris Thursday
Paris – Two calls Thursday to Paris Police results in the seizure of stolen property and drugs.
A Paris woman, whose name was not released, was arrested after police received a call of criminal mischief in the Johnson Woods area. She was charged with burglary of a vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful carrying of a weapon and tampering with physical evidence.
Another drug bust also occurred Thursday in Paris in the 300 block of East Grove in response to an anonymous tip. Arrested was 36-year-old Jerry Wayne Porter, after investigators found a large amount of crack cocaine, marijuana, and assorted pills in his possession. Porter was charged with felony Manufacture and Delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 and Possession of Marijuana.
Each suspect was taken into custody at Paris PD before being transported to the Lamar County Jail.
