Commerce – A fourth candidate has filed for the Commerce City Council. Bob Monday is looking to retain his seat as Council Place 4.
He is currently unopposed in his quest for a second straight term, as is Mayor Quay Throgmorton, who filed last week. Billie Biggerstaff is seeking re-election for Place 2 while Douglas Rohrabaugh is challenging.
For the Commerce School Board, Place 1 Trustee Bob McLeroy and Place 3 Trustee Russell Armstrong have each filed for re-election, while Elva Resendez has filed for Place 2. Resendez also made a bid for the school board during last year's election.
Filing for the May 8 municipal election continues through March 8.
Commerce residents in May will also decide on a number of proposed changes to the city's charter
