Two plead guilty in Wills Point murder

By Kevin Jefferies

Wills Point – A Wills Point man and his daughter entered guilty pleas earlier this month in connection with the 2004 murder of Priscilla Ann Hollers. The son of Hollers, Jimmy Duane Cox pled guilty to murder while his daughter, Nicole Ann Marie Cox, pled guilty to manslaughter.

Jimmy Duane Cox was the person that made the original call to 911 saying his mother was not breathing. Autopsy reports showed that Hollers had died from blunt force trauma to the head. Authorities said Miss Cox stated a crowbar was used in the murder.

Miss Cox was 16-years-old at the time of the murder, but was later certified as an adult. Jimmy Duane Cox received 20 years in prison and Nicole Ann Marie Cox was given 10 years.
