– Richard Ogden, superintendent for Hughes Springs ISD in Cass County, is the Region 8 Superintendent of the Year.
He'll represent the region and compete with 18 other region superintendents for the 2011 Texas Superintendent of the Year Award, to be announced October 1. Region 8 serves 47 school districts in 11 Northeast Texas counties.
Ogden is joined by Royse City ISD Superintendent Randy Hancock, who is representing Region 10, which has 117 school districts in its nine county service area.
