Motorists who travel through the Campbell area will be needing to navigate through some construction zones starting next week and likely continuing well into the fall.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officials Thursday announced work will begin Monday on FM 513 in Hunt County, between FM 499 and the Interstate 30 South Frontage Road.
A.K. Gillis & Sons is the contractor and has been given 118 working days to complete the estimated $1.6 million project.
The work will involve the rehabilitation of the existing roadway by grading and reworking the road base, adding new flex base, and applying a new two-course surface treatment.
The projected completion date for the job is November 2015, weather permitting.
TxDOT is asking motorists in the area to slow down for work zones, drive safely to road conditions, obey traffic controls and flaggers, and expect some temporary.
