By Brad Kellar

Hunt County – A Tyler man is the fourth person indicted in an alleged oil and gas fraud in Hunt County.

Donald Joseph Dean was arraigned Friday of engaging in organized crime and securities fraud. An interim hearing was set for May 26. Dean is the fourth person known indicted in the case involving Mack Diamond Energy of Wolfe City.

Dean, Michael Day Lamont of Allen and Carl Tinsley Ratner, address unknown, have all received indictments, alleging they acted as an unregistered dealer and sold unregistered securities. All three individuals have pleaded not guilty. Chad Michael Hays, of McKinney, was arraigned May 7. The Greenville Herald Banner reports a fifth man, Kevin Dennis Hays, is scheduled for arraignment later this month.

No trial dates have been scheduled in the case so far.
