By Scott Harvey

– The biennial UIL reclassification and realignment for the 2010 through 2012 school years has been released.

Notable changes throughout the region include Class 3A District 10, which went from six to five teams. Celina will join the district, moving from District 9, while Paris and North Lamar have been moved to District 15.

In Class 4A, Greenville and Royse City are back in District 13 with Sulphur Springs and Mt. Pleasant.

In Class 2A, Leonard joins District 5, which includes Bells, Gunter and Tom Bean, among others. District 6 features Lone Oak, Edgewood and Scurry-Rosser, while District 7 shows Como-Pickton, Cooper and Chisum.

Major class changes in the area include Clarksville and Honey Grove, who moved from 2A to 1A. Both teams join Celeste, Quinlan Boles and Wolfe City in Class 1A District 6.
