The Texas unemployment rate remained unchanged in April at 6.7 percent and continued to trend well below the national rate of 8.9 percent.
The numbers were released Thursday by the Texas Workforce Commission. The state's unemployment rate stood at 4.6 percent in April 2008.
We are awaiting individual county results from the North Central Texas Council of Governments, which covers 16 counties in the region including Hunt, Rockwall, Collin, Dallas and Kaufman. KETR we'll have those results for you when they become available.
