Uniform Crime Reporting issues stats for Greenville

GREENVILLE - Crime in Greenville rose significantly during the first three months of 2012 compared to last year, but less than the same timeframe in 2010.

The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) report filed by the Greenville Police Department revealed there were 456 “Part One” crimes recorded locally between January and March. That compares to the 413 offenses reported during the first quarter of 2010, representing a 10.4 percent increase.
