University instructor to speak at MLK Jr. event

Wolfe City – Dr. Lavelle Hendricks is Tuesday's guest speaker at the 2nd Annual Black History Month Presentation through the Wolfe City Chamber of Commerce.

The event begins at 6:30 P.M. in Wolfe City High School Auditorium.

An assistant professor of counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Dr. Hendricks is also the pastor at East Caney Baptist Church and has spoken to many groups about the legacy of Martin Luther King.

A special program by the Wolfe City Elementary Student Council will precede Dr. Hendricks' speech at 6:30 P.M. Refreshments will be served after the presentation.
