– The Gee Lake project at Texas A&M University-Commerce continues to make progress. Construction of the lake's inner wall could be complete in about three weeks. The next stage would include the installment of lights as well as additional sidewalks around the lake. Project Manager Jim Patton says with the exception of Tuesday's rain, weather has had little interference on the project. Crews began work on Gee Lake just before Christmas in an effort to halt the erosion around the lake's bank. Construction is expected to be complete by late April.
